Cafe Norma is one of those cafés that immediately stand out because of its artistic and creative atmosphere. Owned by the family of one of my colleagues, this café feels more than just a simple coffee shop — it almost feels like a small art space where food, coffee, and creativity come together.
The moment you enter the café, you will immediately notice its unique interior filled with paintings, sculptures, collector pieces, and decorative artworks. The place has a very aesthetic and cinematic vibe, making it perfect for taking photos or even shooting short cinematic films and creative content. Every corner of the café feels thoughtfully designed, which makes the experience feel more special compared to ordinary cafés.
Another thing I appreciate about Cafe Norma is the friendliness of the staff. The employees are approachable and welcoming, which adds warmth to the overall atmosphere of the café. Even if the place can get busy sometimes, the service still feels pleasant and accommodating. Reviews online also mention the café’s relaxing ambiance, good coffee, and friendly staff.
Compared to many cafés around Sta. Cruz, the prices at Cafe Norma are a bit higher than usual. However, the quality of the food, drinks, and overall experience make the prices understandable. It is one of those cafés where you pay not only for the food, but also for the ambiance and experience.
My personal favorite from their menu is their Carbonara, which I would rate a 7/10. While it is a little pricey for me, the serving and flavor are still enjoyable and satisfying. Another favorite I really liked was their Ube Rolls, which I would personally rate an 8/10. The dessert was flavorful, visually appealing, and definitely memorable, especially for people who enjoy ube-flavored pastries. Some café visitors online also highly recommend their desserts and seasonal drinks.
Another convenient thing about Cafe Norma is that it has parking spaces available, making visits easier for customers bringing vehicles. Since the café is also located along the highway, it is relatively easy to find and accessible for travelers and café hoppers around Laguna.
Overall, Cafe Norma is one of the cafés in Sta. Cruz, Laguna that stands out because of its artistic identity, aesthetic ambiance, and memorable dining experience. It is the kind of café you visit not only for food and drinks, but also for inspiration, creativity, and the overall vibe of the place.
