One of the first coffee shops to be featured in this blog is a brand that almost everyone knows — not just locally, but internationally: Starbucks.
The moment you step inside, it’s easy to understand why Starbucks has built such a strong reputation over the years. From the cozy atmosphere to the consistency of their drinks and food, it remains a favorite spot for students, professionals, and casual coffee lovers alike. Whether you’re there to study, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy coffee alone, the café delivers a reliable experience almost every time.
One thing Starbucks does particularly well is customer service. Staff members are usually accommodating, patient, and efficient even during peak hours. The environment also feels comfortable and organized, which adds to the overall café experience.
When it comes to the food and drinks, there are definitely some standout items worth mentioning. The Chocolate Chip Cream Frappé easily earns a solid 10/10 — rich, refreshing, and easily one of the best sweet drinks on their menu. The Cinnamon Roll gets an 8.5/10, mainly because the portion size feels fair for what you’re paying for. It tastes good, though there are still other cafés and bakeries that offer more flavorful options. Lastly, the Glazed Donut receives a 7/10. It fits my personal preference since it’s simple and not overwhelmingly sweet, but realistically, there are cheaper alternatives elsewhere that taste just as good — if not better.
Of course, Starbucks also comes with its downsides. The most obvious one is the pricing. Drinks and food can be quite expensive, especially for students or people trying to save money. While the quality and branding partly justify the cost, there are many local cafés that provide similar experiences for a lower price.
Another downside is that, due to Starbucks’ popularity, the café often becomes overcrowded. Many people visit just to take photos or post content for social media, which can sometimes make the atmosphere feel less relaxing. On top of that, it’s also common for customers to stay for long hours while working or studying after purchasing only a single drink. Because of this, finding available seats — especially during busy hours — can become difficult.
Overall, Starbucks remains a dependable coffee shop with strong service, quality food, and a comfortable atmosphere. While it may not always be the most budget-friendly option, its consistency and global reputation make it easy to understand why it continues to be one of the most recognized coffee brands in the world.
