If there is one café brand that became extremely popular among students, it would definitely be Big Brew. Located near Laguna University, this place quickly became one of the most convenient and affordable drink stops for students around the campus.
What makes Big Brew stand out the most is its affordability. In a time where café drinks can become expensive, Big Brew offers drinks that cost less than ₱50, making them very student-friendly. Because of this, it became a common hangout and quick-stop place for students looking for affordable refreshments between classes.
Despite the low prices, the drinks are still surprisingly enjoyable. My personal favorite is their Okinawa Milk Tea, which I would rate an 8/10 considering both the flavor and the price. It has a good balance of sweetness and tea flavor that makes it worth buying repeatedly, especially when you are craving milk tea without spending too much.
Another thing students appreciate about the place is that it has air conditioning, which makes a huge difference during hot school days. Sometimes after classes, simply sitting inside with a cold drink already feels relaxing enough.
The café may be simple compared to larger coffee shops, but its accessibility, affordable menu, and student-friendly atmosphere are what make it memorable. It became one of those places where students can casually gather, cool down, and enjoy affordable drinks without worrying too much about expenses.
