Deja Brew in Poblacion, Sta. Cruz, Laguna was one of my go-to places back when I was in senior high school in 2022. During those days, cafés became one of the best places for me and my friends to relax after classes, eat snacks, and simply spend time together. Among the cafés around Sta. Cruz, Deja Brew became one of the places I visited the most.
One thing I liked about the café was how accessible it was for students. Even though the place does not have its own parking space, it is still easy to visit because of its convenient location in Poblacion. Since many schools and establishments are nearby, it became a common hangout spot for students looking for somewhere to cool down and rest after a long day.
Speaking of cooling down, one of the funniest but most memorable things about Deja Brew was their cold air conditioning — and I mean really cold. Honestly, during hot afternoons after school, the air conditioning alone already made the place worth visiting. It made the café feel extra comfortable, especially when staying there for long conversations or study sessions with friends.
Another reason why I enjoyed going there was because of the friendly staff. The employees were approachable and welcoming, which made the café feel more comfortable and enjoyable every time we visited. Good customer service always makes a place more memorable, and Deja Brew definitely had that kind of atmosphere.
When it comes to food, my personal favorites were their Chicken Poppers and Cookies. Both were easily a 9/10 for me. The Chicken Poppers were flavorful, crispy, and perfect as a snack while chatting with friends. Meanwhile, their cookies were soft, sweet, and satisfying without being too overwhelming. Those two quickly became my usual orders whenever I visited the café.
What made Deja Brew special to me was not just the food, but also the memories attached to it. It became one of those cafés connected to my senior high school life — the kind of place where simple afternoons with classmates turned into fun and memorable moments.
Looking back now, Deja Brew remains one of the cafés that reminds me of my student days in Sta. Cruz, Laguna. From the cold air conditioning and friendly staff to the good food and student-friendly location, it became more than just a café — it became part of my everyday routine during senior high school.
